The story about "moral fibre"
But in the first place, is there really a need to draw a clear distinction between humans and all other living creatures? It is after all the harmonious interaction between environment and living creatures that sustains a balance for co-existence. Obviously, greed and hunger for superiority shaped the world it is today. So more man-made composites and less natural elements. And as the world crumble, we struggle to salvage whatever was lost. Then we go back to questioning ourselves if there is a need for distinguishing ourselves from all other life forms. And who is really superior actually? Can we sustain on our own without depending on other life forms? The answer is inherently redundant cos the question is rhetoric, isnt it?
But one thing for sure, humans have the capability to express themselves openly, exhibit thoughts and feelings instantaneously and be understood all at the same time quite effortlessly. This interactivity brings out the human spirit that influences not just humans alone but everything else, including our environment. This manifestation of the human spirit is evident in our everyday lives. For example, from the most basic motherly love for a child propagates a series of actions that can trigger similar acts of compassion. The burning desire to fight for something worthy can also be compellingly inspiring and infectious. In fact, if you ask yourself how many times you have felt bouts of chill meandering down your spine after hearing your favourite piece of music, you will know that the human spirit interacts in ways so subtle that sometimes we just overlook it.
And what is "moral fibre"? Watch "The girl next door". Its worth the fight if you know your heart desires.
