Injecting complexity; extracting sensitivity

Everyone's opinions, thoughts and feelings differ given the same condition and situation. What seems like a simple problem to one person may spell a mayhem of disastrous confusion for another. Leaving intelligence out of the equation, leaves us a few probable reasons as to why it happens. After all, a professor in school ever mentioned that the intelligence spectrum of humans is very small and this is based on the assumption that we are only using a small percentage of our brain power. Convinced? Maybe not.

Whatever the case, personality and character plays a part too. Given Mr Meticulous+Nervous Wreak versus Mr gunshot-Decisive, both at the crossroads of making a choice,an impulsive decision-making is all that is required to set one on a path. An impulsive attitude is obviously a definitive distinction between both characters and who finally sets out on a path? Yes, perhaps even after all the cows have gone home, Mr Meticulous will still be doing his decision-making while the other guy is making leaps and bounds.

Some may argue that logical arguments should be made when it comes to decisions. Yes, weighing the pros and cons, justifying the benefits of choosing one over the other. BUT, contemplation is a time-luxurious activity. Eventually, doesnt all choices lead you back to the same conclusion? SO why waste time shuffling the mahjong tiles of thoughts in your noisy head? Just choose and commit to it as long as its not destructive in nature.

And isnt it funny how some people leave you with impressions so much so that you get reminded of them by everything you see or hear? A hysterical hyena-like laughter, a super-retro chinese song that only 95.8fm plays still, an english song that has grown distant in memory but still capable of stirring up memories, my name scribed on a tutorial sheet in chalky black bold lines, a surprise tap on the right shoulder that still stirs up a familiar sense of closeness, the salty sea breeze warmed by the morning sun running through my hair and comforting my sleepy eyes, the sound of tiny fishes jumping out of the water, the glistening jewels of orange, red and blue adorning the waters against a backdrop of a bright orange setting sun. Every tiny detail has an attachment that only a unique individual understands in his or her own rights. Nobody's going to rob these memories from him/her unless time steals it and leaves him feeling guilty as if he has committed an offense.

A simple life can be made more interesting by injecting complexity? Less sensitivty less burdens? Live free without emotional baggages? How would you choose? I can only hear the pleasing persuasive voices of the waves lapping the shorelines and whatever happens next doesnt sets in till after an eternity of serenity; devoid of attachment.

Perhaps, Life itself is complex.

Yet, if one injects more complexity, it just makes life harder to live...more obstacles to face...and complicated which is = FUN. LOL.(as how most risk-takers might put it)

I guess, leave life to fate and karma...whatever comes, will come eventually. I guess memories are made with people whom you treasure most...and perhaps, as freud would put, you still miss them sub-consciously...

But well, having you bring this up..makes me think of how i should lead my life better...lol.

The things that can make you think of the person can be trivial otherwise,if they had not been a part of your memory=)

Tap on shoulder...very familiar.. Hiak hiak not going to silence me ah, i hope.

I like injecting questions into my life(complexity?), the answers are often never really as important as the process of finding them. =)

To phill, yah missing them sub consciously and missing the life you used to lead, missing the closeness you had with friends in the past and it becomes freaking eerie when I look at how things have changed. Like no longer knowing them when in fact, we spent a chapter of our lives interlocked with experiences. Experiences that has grown into memories left in a wine bottle stored in a corner of a cellar at the back of your head. Hiakz...

To miss indie, haha ya tap on a shoulder...*shake head* haha no need to silence you la. its all in the past liao maybe a pen knife at the tip of your tongue will do. OOPS! haahahha juz joking
