Coloured eyes leaves your vision blinded by a different hue--A collection of paper heart bits/beats II

A typical trait of being human would definitely be "critical" or "judgemental". How many times have we looked over our shoulders and eye at the person-next-door and start comparing this and that. How many times have we peeked into a fellow shopper's shopping cart and comment on the stuff thats lying innoncently in it?

If evolution theory is true, there is no doubt somewhere along the line monkeys and humans shared the same ancestors. Whats the difference between a monkey poking n stratching his furry friend's arse and you sticking your nose into someone else's shopping items? Worst still commenting about it as if the person in front of you is invisible...

Hey, it happens right? Sometimes we overlook the situation and start talking as if we are watching a movie in real time. Just watch and talk without even considering other people's feelings. I guess everyone had their share of such emotional guilt. On many occasions, we fail to fully understand the situation and start jumping into conclusions and begin airing our views blatantly. Oh yes its a free world, free-to-speak so to say. But speaking without substantiation is as good as playing music in a vacuum. Weightless. And in some sense, irresponsible.

Sometimes its disheartening to see how locals put down "local products". A so-called "local product" can range from a "creative Muvo" to "Force vomit". Sounds unfamiliar?..NO?!!..Then, more votes are thrown out of the window. Wheres the popularity votes for "local products"? Is it the belief--"the pasture is greener on the other side", that is causing all these seemingly non-sensical phenomenon? Or is it cos singapore is too small that nothing appeals to us?

Just speaking in the context of local music, I believe there are many local bands that fare much much better than other foreign commercial bands that just look pretty on cd album covers and posters but sounds unbelievably ugly. I was in Tower records recently and i chanced upon My Squared Cirlce's latest album. Wrapped and decorated modestly in a cd jewel box, it is pale in contrast beside the slew of attractive-looking foreign band cd albums. I must say the recording quality of MSQ's latest album is very impressive. The band's music and sound scape is beautifully sculptured. Seriously, an innocent listener will believe that its a foreign band if it was packaged nicely and mentioned on the recommendation list. So the next time you pop by tower records, pick up the headphones and try listening to some juice from MSQ. "Chicken song" is cool!!! hahaha.

Let there be no prejudice.
